All GIGGLES in D.C.

So many of you know that I went to D.C. with Grandma for Clarissa's wedding. I had so much fun hanging out with FAMILY and one of my BFF's!!

I met Clarissa's new daughter Sarah Lynn! I call her Lynnie... she calls me Lynn... Yep we're BFF's now!! She is so fun and has a LOT of energy!!! We went swimming together on Friday and had so much fun!

Miranda picked me up that evening and took me to the
Washington National Cathedral.
It was so pretty and peaceful. We sat in the courtyard and listened to the choir practice. The window was open so we could hear... it was BEAUTIFUL!

Then of course we HAD to do some model shots!! hahaha!! We crack ourselves up!!

So the day of Clarissa and Christian's wedding I played with Sarah Lynn at the temple. We had a lot of fun "walking" around... well more like me chasing to keep up! hahaha!

After the reception Miranda came to Laurel and hungout with me all night!! We had sooooooooo much fun!! I think my insides were going to fall out from laughing so hard!! Luckily Grandma didn't have her hearing aids in... so she couldn't hear us!! hehe!!

We decided we were "hungry"... well... I really just wanted an ice cream cone and she wanted a Diet Dr. Pepper... but do you think that's all we got? I think not!! Miranda had coupons for McDonalds... haha... they have coupons for McDonalds! That's seriously so funny to me!! So of course we had to get Chicken nuggets and fries!! SOOOOOOOO UNHEALTHY!!!!! But I will even admit... it tasted so HEAVENLY!! HAHAHAHA!!

The next day Mike and Amber took us all out for brunch. It was delicious!!

After brunch Miranda came and picked me up again!! Thanks Miranda!! She drove about 40 minutes one way each time!! She's such a great friend! We went and saw some of the sights. Here I am in front of the backside of the White House.

Miranda took me to my FAVORITE store!! H&M baby!! Wherever we go... we will ALWAYS find one!! I LOVE this place!!!

After finding some great finds at H&M we headed over to the

National Portrait Gallery!
I didn't know they had a Portrait of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young... but Miranda filled me in on that one! It was neat to see those pictures hanging there!

Afterwards we went and had dinner at this cute little restaurant! while you wait for your food you play games...

We went back to Miranda's house for awhile and hungout with her roommates! That was super fun! Her girls were adorably funny... but I'm pretty sure they think I'm evil from the video I showed them I made!! Haha!! Don't worry... I'll be posting that soon! :) So the time came when I had to leave... we were driving and Miranda said she was making a detour... and I didn't have a clue where to. We pulled up and she said, "Yeah! Melanie's here!!" Woop! Woop! I got to see Melanie while in D.C.!! I love this girl!! Thanks for the surprise Miranda!! I had so much fun!!!And so... this is the last picture of my trip. It was sad to leave my friend there... I really wanted to pack her in my suitcase and bring her home with me!!! Thanks to all my family and friends! This really was an AWESOME trip!!!

At Peace

So as everyone knows from my last post I was a "little" panicked about giving a talk. Well... I did it and I'm GLAD it's over!!
So I think the talk went good. I didn't vomit or have any laughing attacks and the best part is I didn't pass out either!! My dad was laughing at me though... because my legs were shaking really BAD!! During my talk I was thinking to myself... why the heck was I wearing heals??? Seriously... heals and shaky legs don't mix!!
I will say that our Heavenly Father was so aware of my needs. He totally blessed me with four wonderful people that shared their testimonies with me on the topic of fellowship. If you could all read their testimonies you would seriously be so inspired to get up and start fellowshipping those around you! To them I am so grateful.
I also want to thank everyone that came to hear me talk. You are ALL so wonderful!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am so BLESSED to have your love and support! And now... I am at peace... NO MORE TALKS FOR A LONG TIME!!!

PANIC ATTACK!!!!

So I've been thinking that... I'm a REALLY LUCKY GIRL!! I've been in the singles ward now for... well... never mind that... it's just been awhile. So I've only had to give one talk since I've been in the ward. I have seriously been so blessed that I haven't been asked to get up since then. Well, my luck changed last night!! Brother Beezer took me into his "office" and told me not to hate him... and asked if I would give a talk February 15th. OH...MY...GOSH!!! Breath... Breath... OH FREAK!!!!! I don't know what I'm even going to speak on!! I REALLY HATE GETTING UP IN FRONT OF PEOPLE!!!!! I'm having a PANIC ATTACK!! Anyone want to go t.p. Brother Beezer's house with me?????? I really think I'm going to vomit... really!! I don't think the branch presidency understands how stressed out I get... maybe I'll do what that kid did in the other singles branch... pass out... not a bad plan!! You know what... I think this really happened because I mentioned to someone this past week that I don't like to get up in front of people... of course this would happen right after I say that!! So now I solicit to all my friends to pray for me so that I don't VOMIT in front of the whole congregation or even hyperventilate... all I have to say is that this will be interesting...

Morning Jog/ Walk

Lately I've been trying to improve my cardio workout and I feel sooooo good doing it!! I've been going to Thunderbird park and hiking EVERYDAY!!!! If you know me... you know that I have NEVER liked hiking!!! It's so funny how things change!! So this morining I woke up "early" and decided I was going to do my old route I use to jog/walk... I'm thinking to myself I should have cut off like 15 minutes of my time with all the hiking I 've been doing. (I've only been doing the hiking thing for like 2 weeks) HA!!! The last time I did this route it took me like an hour. I am PROUD to say it only took me 40 minutes!!!! YIPEE!!!! So I cut off 20 minutes of my time and I thought I would announce that!! So I have a goal by next month to do this same route and cut off another 5 minutes!!!! I CAN DO IT!! YES I CAN!!!!

December Cheer!!

WoW!! Do I have a LOT to show you!! So I completed one of my life goals... I went to a Celine Dion Concert!! It was AMAZING!! Breba got us some AWESOME tickets for really cheap!! It was kind of funny where we were sitting... all these older people were all around us... I SWEAR we were the only one going NUTS and singing with Celine!! All I have to say is that she really does ROCK!!!

The next thing I did this last month was go riding. Yes everyone... I got ON a horse. I didn't take any pictures of myself on the horse... but I took one of my friend Taylor who went with us. So this is the only proof I have of this event. I would like to give my brother-in-law Aaron, a SHOUT OUT for saddling up the horses and being our guide for the morning!! Thanks Aaron!!

So I don't know if you know... but I REALLY like karaoke!! Jen Bunny and I always have to do our song... and guess what... I seriously can NOT remember the name of that dang song!! hahahaha!! Whatev...

I went to my niece Matti Moo's school Christmas program!! Woop! Woop!! Matti did soooo GOOD!!

I also went to Logan, Colton and Gracie's school program!! They all did a GREAT job too!!!!

So I went to TWO dance shows... one for Gracie Kay and the other for Matti Moo!! They both were really cute doing there dances... I loved that Matti would stop to watch the other girls... only to make sure they were dancing and doing the right steps! hahaha!! FUNNY little girl!!!!

So YES... I went to a bar... but it's not what you think!! Some of my friends went to the Big Bang... it was seriously so FUN!! They have two piano players that play off one another... and the best part was that they knew EVERY song!! It was so cool... oh ya... they had really good VIRGIN DRINKS!!!

On Christmas Eve I was so EXCITED... because Erin and Steve spent the night!! WOOP!! WOOP!!! It's been over a year since any of my siblings have spent the night... I was a "little" excited...

Christmas was freaking AWESOME!! Santa brought me a BEACH CRUISER!! It has gears and all!! I also got some pretty sweet workout shorts... solar vinyl!! hahaha!! Thanks Erin and STEVE!!

OK... what everyone has been waiting for... NEW YEARS EVE!!! hahahahaha!! I went with a group of friends and went to dinner at Ah So!! So YUMMY!!! After that I didn't get any pictures... but I stopped by a friends house and hung out while they played a game that I'd rather FORGET I ever heard!! Then I picked up my long lost friend Amy and we met up with some of my friends at a dance... it was fun!! They had balloons drop at midnight and everything! Then we went to a friends house and had breakfast that the guys made for us. Kudos to the guys!!! New Years day we went shooting... can you believe I did NOT take one single picture???? What is wrong with me???? Don't answer that.
